¡Celebración Encanto! is an outdoor sing-along on the CommuniCore Plaza stage in EPCOT's World Celebration. It opened on June 10, 2024, the same day CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza opened. Disney bills it as a fiesta rather than a show, and that is about right: hosts run trivia between songs from Walt Disney Animation Studios' Encanto, and members of the Madrigal family drop by. Disney named Mirabel and Bruno when it launched. It runs several times a day, with nothing to reserve and no virtual queue.

The plaza is the catch. Nothing overhead blocks the Florida sun, and there are no permanent seats, so families end up on the ground or standing through the whole thing. Parents of toddlers still walk away happy, because their kids get to move around after a morning of strollers and ride vehicles. The ones who leave disappointed came for a full theatrical production or for a signature. The staging is simple, and the characters head backstage when the last song ends instead of working a photo line.

    Nothing to book, no virtual queue, and no Lightning Lane to spend. Turning up a few minutes before the start time is the whole plan.

    Visitors consistently credit the performers for pulling a passing crowd into the songs. The Encanto soundtrack does some of that work on its own, since most of the plaza already knows the words.

  • Nothing overhead blocks the sun
    The viewing area is open plaza with no canopy and no tree cover. Afternoon showings mean standing in full Florida sun for the length of the set.

    Visitors report sitting on the ground or standing the whole time, since the plaza carries no theater seating. Ground level in the sun is a hard sell for anyone who has been walking since rope drop.
  • The characters don't stay for photos
    Mirabel and Bruno head backstage once the final song ends. Children expecting an autograph or a posed picture leave without one.
  • Adults expecting a production won't get one
    This is a plaza sing-along, not a theater show, and the staging matches that. Guests who arrive picturing something on the scale of a park stage musical come away underwhelmed.
  • Sightlines vanish behind standing adults
    The ground is flat with no raked seating, so anyone shorter than the row in front sees very little. Small children in particular end up watching the backs of strangers.

    A packed or blazing showing is not your only shot. Wait for a later one and the crowd usually thins out.

  • Get near the front if kids want to dance
    Families fill the space closest to the stage first. Arriving a few minutes early buys small children both room to move and a clear view.
  • Cool off in CommuniCore Hall afterward
    The indoor space next to the plaza has tables and chairs at select times of year, and you can carry in food from nearby locations. It is the nearest relief from the plaza sun.
  • Mickey & Friends is the greeting next door
    CommuniCore Hall runs a dedicated character-greeting location, so a kid who wanted a photo can still get one a short walk away. It is Mickey and friends there, not the Madrigals, so set expectations first.
  • Come back for La Calle later on
    The same stage hosts the Latin pop band La Calle from Thursday through Monday. Worth building into an evening at EPCOT if the daytime sing-along lands well with your group.
  • Wheelchairs and ECVs stay put
    Disney's CommuniCore Hall and Plaza listing shows May Remain in Wheelchair/ECV, and the viewing area is flat and paved. There is no transfer and no boarding procedure to plan around.
