Meet Beloved Disney Pals at Mickey & Friends

Meet Beloved Disney Pals at Mickey & Friends: show at EPCOT, Walt Disney World — showtimes, live status, and planning data on MouseHub.

The MouseHub take

Mickey & Friends is an indoor character greeting inside CommuniCore Hall, in EPCOT's World Celebration. The building opened on June 10, 2024 and finished the long World Celebration rebuild. Disney lists the visit at 10 minutes with character photography on hand, so the stop itself moves quickly once you reach the front. Mickey heads the lineup, and Disney's page puts Minnie Mouse and Goofy at the same location. A mural of EPCOT past and present runs along the walk in, under a facade of geodesic triangles that echoes Spaceship Earth across the plaza.

It slots into the middle of the day, when a cool room matters more than another World Showcase lap. Other families reach the same conclusion, which is why standby climbs through the afternoon. Parents of small kids come away happy, since there is no height requirement and nobody waits outside holding the stroller. Visitors who came for heavy theming tend to shrug. The interior is flexible event space and reads closer to a convention hall than a pavilion. After dark, the line thins out.

The good

  • The air conditioning does real work
Visitors keep describing this as the cool room they needed. Standing inside for a few minutes in the middle of a Florida afternoon is worth something on its own.
  • Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy all greet here
Disney's own page lists all three at Mickey & Friends, so one walk over covers characters that used to mean three separate stops.
  • No height requirement, no split party
Disney lists the experience as Any Height. Infants, grandparents, and everyone between takes part, and nobody sits this one out.
  • A photographer handles the pictures
Character Photography is part of the listed experience, so you are not fumbling with a phone while a toddler decides whether to hug Goofy.
  • The mural outside is EPCOT's own history
Disney installed a mural of EPCOT past and present on the walk into the greeting. The geodesic triangles on the building are a deliberate nod to Spaceship Earth.
  • It finished the World Celebration rebuild
CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and this greeting all opened on June 10, 2024, closing out the construction walls that stood in the middle of the park for years.

The bad

  • The room reads convention hall, not pavilion
Disney built CommuniCore Hall as flexible event space, and the inside shows it. Visitors expecting the texture of a classic EPCOT pavilion come away flat.
  • Standby climbs hard through the afternoon
The line builds from late morning onward and moves slowly once it does. Everyone escaping the heat had the same idea at the same time.
  • You exit straight back outside
The room empties through a side door as soon as the last greeting ends. If the weather turned while you were inside, you find out on the way out.

Veteran tips

  • Check the times on this page first
Greeting hours shift with the season and the festival calendar. The showtimes on this page, or the My Disney Experience app, tell you whether the characters are out before you walk across World Celebration.
  • Come back after dark
The wait falls once the crowd drifts toward the lagoon for the evening show. That is the window where you can walk up and get in.
  • Have the book open and the marker uncapped
Autographs are part of the greeting here. Sorting out pages and caps at the front of the line costs you time with the characters, not the cast member.
  • Stay in your wheelchair or ECV
Disney classifies this one as May Remain in Wheelchair/ECV, so there is no transfer anywhere in the experience.
  • Carry festival food in with you
At select times of the year, CommuniCore Hall sets out tables and chairs and lets you bring in food from nearby locations. Grab a plate from the festival booths outside and eat it in the air conditioning.
  • Use it as a heat break, and expect company
The midday visit is the right call for a family that needs to cool down. Build the afternoon wait into the plan rather than being surprised by it.
