Meet Dashing Disney Pals as Circus Stars at Pete's Silly Sideshow
Meet Dashing Disney Pals as Circus Stars at Pete's Silly Sideshow: show at Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World — showtimes, live status, and planning data on MouseHub.
The MouseHub take
Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck greet guests in circus costume on one side of the big top at Pete's Silly Sideshow, in the Storybook Circus corner of Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland. Minnie works the ring as Minnie Magnifique, and Daisy reads fortunes over a crystal ball as Daisy Fortuna. One indoor, air-conditioned line carries you past both of them, one after the other. The tent came out of a six-month refurbishment on June 26, 2026 with a new canopy and touched-up decor, so it looks newer than the 2012 land around it.
The other half of the building is a separate greeting with a nearly identical name, Daring Disney Pals, where Donald and Goofy appear as The Astounding Donaldo and The Great Goofini. No Lightning Lane covers either one, so standby is the only way in, and the doors close at 7:00 PM rather than at park close. Families with small kids and anyone working through a character list walk away happy. Anyone hoping for Minnie in the red polka dots, or counting on a browse through Big Top Souvenirs next door while that shop sits closed for refurbishment, should plan around it.
At a glance
- Best for
- Families with toddlers, and character collectors who want Minnie and Daisy in costumes that appear nowhere else at Walt Disney World.
- Skip if
- You want Minnie and Daisy in their everyday outfits, or you have one Magic Kingdom day and headliners still to ride.
- Ride type
- Indoor character meet and greet, two characters off one line
- Intensity
- Gentle throughout. No motion, no darkness, no loud surprises, and nothing that startles small kids.
The good
- The whole line sits inside the air conditioningThe queue and both greeting spots are under roof and run cold. That keeps the wait going through an afternoon thunderstorm, when the rides outside shut down for lightning.
- One line gets you both charactersMinnie and Daisy greet in separate spots on the same side of the tent, and the queue carries you through both. You do not line up twice.
- These costumes belong to this tentMinnie plays a circus star and Daisy works a fortune teller's booth with a crystal ball, both staged for Storybook Circus rather than pulled from the standard park lineup. It is the one place to photograph either look.
- The tent came back new in JuneSix months of work replaced the faded canopy and refreshed the decor inside, down to a new scarf under Daisy's crystal ball. The greeting reopened on June 26, 2026, a day ahead of schedule.
- An attendant will shoot on your own phoneEach greeting spot has a character attendant who takes pictures with your camera, so nobody in the party has to sit the photo out to hold it.
- Nobody in the party waits outsideThere is no height requirement and no ride vehicle, so infants, grandparents, and anyone on a scooter come through together. Rider Switch is one thing you can leave off the plan here.
The bad
- There is no Lightning Lane hereNeither Multi Pass nor Single Pass covers this greeting, so standby is the only way in. The line builds through the afternoon as families come inside off the heat.
- Meeting all four characters takes two waitsDonald and Goofy greet on the other half of the building under the Daring Disney Pals name, and that is a separate queue. You exit and get back in line to see them.
- An automated camera takes the PhotoPass shotsA photo box on a stand fires on a timer at each backdrop, with no photographer working the angles or calling the pose. The pictures come out stiffer than the ones a PhotoPass cast member takes.
- The doors close at 7:00 PMGreeting hours run 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, hours before Magic Kingdom closes for fireworks. A plan that saves this for after dinner does not work.
- Big Top Souvenirs is still closedThe shop next door has been down for refurbishment since February 2026 with no reopening date announced, so the walk out of the tent ends at a construction wall instead of the snack counter.
- The circus soundtrack loops the whole waitStorybook Circus plays a short band-organ track across the plaza and into the tent. It wears on parents by the second pass through.
Veteran tips
- Go in the first hour it is openThe greeting starts at 10:00 AM and the line is shortest before lunch. It fills once the afternoon heat pushes families indoors.
- Minnie and Daisy are the left-hand lineFacing the tent, this pair greets on the left and Donald and Goofy on the right, with a separate entrance for each. Do both sides back to back if you want all four, since the walk between entrances is about a minute.
- Tap your MagicBand at the photo boxThe camera here is automated, so nothing reaches your account unless you tap a MagicBand, ticket card, or MagicMobile pass at the station by the backdrop.
- Hand your phone over on the way inIf you are not on Memory Maker, ask the character attendant to use your camera before the greeting starts rather than during it.
- Have the autograph book open alreadyTurn to a blank page and uncap the pen before you reach the front. Both characters sign, and the time you save goes into the poses.
- Use the 3:00 PM parade as your windowStandby drops while the crowd stakes out Festival of Fantasy at 3:00 PM. Check the schedule in My Disney Experience the morning of, since the time moves with the season.
- Ride the Storybook Circus rides firstDumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer are both a short walk from the tent, so you can clear the land's rides and the greeting in one stop instead of crossing Fantasyland twice.
