Viva Gaia Street Band! is a 30-minute Caribbean street party on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom, played by a troupe of musicians in masquerade costumes on a stage set right against the walkway. Steel drums and percussion carry most of the set, and the band spends as much time working the crowd as playing to it. Kids get pulled to the front to clap and dance, and the musicians play straight back at them. There is no theater, no seats, and no shade. You stand on pavement in whatever sun the day is handing out.
