It opened on May 1, 1989 as Min and Bill's Dockside Diner, named for the 1930 Marie Dressler and Wallace Beery film, and Disney still describes the building as a nod to 1950s California-Crazy architecture. The food is hot dogs. Five of them, all quarter-pound and all-beef, four dressed up: macaroni and cheese with bacon, avocado with black pepper mayonnaise, beer cheese garlic sauce on a pretzel bun, or apple-braised sauerkraut on pretzel bread. Loaded dogs are $13.49 with house-made chips and the plain one is $11.79. Seating is open-air, with no indoor room to retreat into.

That makes it a fine quick stop and a rough plan for a Florida afternoon in August.
